Many people ask me why am i in CHC..

why CHC when there are so many other churches around that is free from criticisms..

haha..i used to ask this question to my friends who were in this church before i got integrated myself.

I have never understood why are people all swarming to CHC...it's just a church that is big..

people who goes there just seems to be people who are rich..and this church doesnt seem to have a very good reputation..

Honestly, before i got integrated myself, i have never had a good impression of it..

I remember telling myself that I will never ever go to CHC if i ever want to look for a church..

BUT..haaha God does have a sense of humour..

I've been in this church for the past 5 years..it's my first church..and im sure it's going to be my church for the rest of my life..

Indeed, this church is a big church..

Have you ever wondered why people will want to stay on? Is it really because it is big and rich and hip??

I 've always wondered about this..

And im thankful that I experienced it myself and understand fully why people would want to stay on..and im thankful to God for letting me be a part of this family..impacting lives and changing nations in Asia and all over the world.

First and most importantly, I love this church for the presence of GOd! The anointed praise and worship and preaching of the word. Every week, I get to soak in the presence of God. Well, what's the presence of God you may ask..well, i would say it's this special feeling that you get when you just step into the hall..something that you cant even describe..it just makes you feel light and happy..the feeling that you know, "everything is gonna be alright!" This feeling was something i couldnt find outside, no matter how happy i was. This was the main thing that attracted me when i first stepped into CHC which was at expo then in 2007. It was the presence of God..

Secondly, i love this church for the spiritual family..for the leaders and friends i can turn to when im in need..people whom i know will encourage and lift me up when im down and will believe and pray together with me..they are people who believes in me and wants me to achieve the best in life. They speak words of encouragements into my life. They build me up in character and in leadership. They are the ones whom im not afraid to show who i really am to. We hug, we cry, we laugh and we do meaningful things together.. They are my spiritual family.

Thank God for wonderful leaders like Pastor Kong, Sun, Pastor Aries and many CGLS who have touched my lives..they are my role models and without all these people, there will not be CHC today! Just want to take this chance to thank all my leaders and disciplers..because without all of you, I will not be where i am today..

Thirdly, I love this church for how they love and care for the needy..reaching out to people who are in need. The amount of humanitarian work they do, the crossover project and how pastor kong stresses on loving people fervently despite all the critcisms..

Many people criticise or give the skeptical look whenever they hear about CHC.

But i just want to say, im so proud to be a part of this City Harvest family. Not because it is big or because it is hip..

But i love this church family for the foundation that it is built on..

It is here in this church, i found purpose in life..i found courage to pursue what i want in life..

It is here that i found strength to pick myself up when im at my lowest point in life..

It is here that I found my boyfriend and buddies..

It is here that i found my spiritual family and support..

It is here that i found GOD!

Indeed, this may not be a perfect church, BUT, it is definitely a wonderful FAMILY!

it's the last day of school for me in NIE today..

End of my 4 years of education in NIE..Going for my 10 weeks of practicun starting from next week..

well anyway, i really had a great time in NIE although it's been pretty stressful with lots of work..esp this semester!

But well, friends have made everything more bearable..

Hmm how time flies..today marks 23 years of my life on earth..it's scary to think that im reaching 25 soon..half of my prime years gone!

but well...hahaa..

anway had some pre birthday celebration over the past few days..

The first group of people who celebrated my birthday are the NIE girls..they surprised me at Pioneer coffee shop and ignored my msgs to them, leaving me waiting at the ctrl station..

but haha yeah they got me very interesting presents!! two big burgers !!! a RED blouse..they cant wait to see me dance in red ! =DDD

E432 also celebrated my birthday with me after service on saturday..

Daphne came all the way dwn to suntec to surprise me with a cake..haha..they wanted to meet me for lunch but i cancelled it due to essays not knowing that they wanted to celebrate my birthday! AHAH sorrrry...

but wah was super touched when i see Daphne and of cus not forgetting my dearest elephant whom i rejected for lunch..hhaa

Went out for my advanced birthday celebration since he has school today =( while i will be spending first half of my birthday doing essays..

but well..we had a great time out together!! =D

First up, 1st surprise aka fake present from him :

a "couple" of sweets hahahah!!

then we went to Botanic Garden, Halia Restaurant for lunch..wasnt expecting to go there as all along i thought we were going to somewhere at wheelock place..he actually went there to recee a few times before bringing me there..lol

My second surprise!!! SAGA SEEDS!

Clarence actually went to pick the seeds one by one himself..hahaa

he went to botanic gardens a few time hoping to pick them but couldnt find any..then he went to Pearl hill at chinatown at 630am on a saturday morning to pick them to fill the bottle..

was really touched when i see this bottle of seeds! awww how sweet ! =)))

he also got me a black blouse i wanted the other time..haha he went back to the shop the next day after i saw the blouse =D

last but not least, he stayed up till 5am in the morning on saturday night to do up a mini video on us..haha it was his first time doing a video..and he even inserted clips on his excursion to picking up the saga seeds! haha

man....was totally touched by all his actions! =D

I thank God for an amazing boyfriend=)

Well been spending my last 3 weeks of the 2011 catching up my loved ones..

Hmm..school's starting soon too..next week is the last week of holiday..and it will be my final 6 weeks in NIE..how time flies..

Well..before 2011 comes to a close..there are many things i want to thank God for..For strength and grace to get through this year..

2011........

is the year i took up the most number of tuitionn jobs..think 5-6 tuitions..and my weekdays are just filled with tuition..

it is also the last year of my tuition..just wanna thank God for favour..

Thank GOd also for seeing me through my first TP 1 in June..

Thank God for leading P&W in leader's meeting..

Thank God for my family...

Thank God for my friends..

Thank God for city harvest..

Thank God for E432..

Thank God for Clarence..

Thank GOd for everything...

All in all thank God for 2011..=)

without 2011..there will not be 2012..there will not be a chance for blessings to come=)

It's been a long & tiring year..2012 is gonna be better in all areas..

It's gonna be the best year yet..

God shall away all tears in 2011 and fill me with joy as i step into 2012..

Went JB with clarence for the very first time yesterday...

It's finally holiday for him!!! =DDDDDD *many smiles*

It was also our first date in many months and we watched our first movie in many mths there too! =)

went in in the morning..and we spent the whole rainy day at city square JB!

It was quite an experience especially because usually i follow my friends around for directions when i go JB!

AHAH i must say i do have a pretty good sense of directions!!!! =P

Anyway, it was an enjoyable day out with him...finallly after so long! a PROPER date!

Did some shopping and basically we just walked ard and keep eating! HAHA

would be even  more enjoyable if money isnt a concern!hehe

but well, company is definitely more important!

Looking forward to more of such dates plssssssss...especially before i graduate & before he leaves for America! =(

5th December 2011 has officially been marked as one of the most traumatic day of my life..

even right now im still in shock..

a fire actually broke out at my house early this morning at 730am in the morning..

and guess what??at that moment i was still sound asleep until i heard my sister screaming for my aunt and i from the kitchen bathroom..

it turned out that she smell smoke and heart crackling sound while bathing halfway and when opened the toilet door to have a peep she saw fire..

she started screaming for us to awake us from our sleep..

this sounds like those fire incident compo hahaa..but this time it's real...=X

was at a lost when i jumped out of my bed and saw fire in the kitchen..

was wondering should i call the fire engine? splash the fire with water?hit it with a cloth or what??? (oh man the importance of a fire extinguisher..provided knw how to use)

hmm in the end we used damp towel to put out the fire..but thinking bad about it...it's still pretty dangerous to do that..should have used a towel to cover the fire instead..but well at the moment it's really difficult to keep calm and think properly..i was even wondering what is the number for the fire engine..

hmm and even now the whole house still smell of smoke..=(

haix it's a really traumatic experience..

imagine how serious things would have gotten if we were any slower..

To add on to this..something else happened at home..haix..Just hope eveyrthing will be okay..

im not sure how to express my feelings..i feel traumatised..at the same time thankful...feel tired but im feeling a little paranoid and worried to sleep..

Been running around the whole day clearing up the mess and out to buy lightings and etc...tired..

Whatever it is, I really thank God for protection..If not for His protection, i think i wouldnt be here typing this entry...

Just praying that everything will get better..especially when the electrician comes to rewire the whole house on thursday and for painting to start on friday..

Next week is gna be a week of spring cleaning..lots of things to do..thank God im on holiday..

But well, whatever it is..im glad that i made it through the day..

Now, i can only continue to pray for protection and grace over my family and house and that things will get better..

It will because enough is enough!!! No weapons formed against us shall prosper for if God is for us, nothing can be against us!

My God will protect my household and i..ALL will be well...

on a more positive note..this can actually be seen as a blessing in disguise..

a chance to revamp the whole house and early spring cleaning for us all and in time for CNY next year! =)

My family and i will definitely end off this year well..and start off 2012 with a good start! =)

Holiday has started for about 2 weeks already..

I think it's pretty ironic that whenever im not having holidays i have lotsa things in mind that i wanna do but now that it's the holiday, i just feel like staying at home and do nothing..one thing because of money..the other thing cause im just feeling lazy haha!

i do wish that i can go overseas this holiday..but im not=( booooooo...

anyway, went to har par villa with nie girls..the last time i went was many years ago when i was still a kid..looking back i rmb nothing except for the tiger.haha..well actually nth much in there..can easily finish walking the whole place in 1 hour..

well anyway after that we went to holland V for xiao long bao & steamboat buffet..With the circle line in place, getting there is definitely so much easier..

Anyway the buffet was good! but was really filling..I was so full to the extent that i felt like vomiting! AHHA! but well it was really good..good food and good company with the girls. Also went JB with this group of girls the following day! FINALLY! been looking forward to go JB with them and yeahhhh!! =)

It was pretty fun except the legs were nearly broken from all the walking and standing..

oh ya! and my eldest cousin..lao da just got married! YEAHHH!! so happy for them..=)

ahhh talking about this...i realise we are all growing up..all getting married one by one..hahaa..

Im actually looking forward to my own! HAHAHAH! =P but well..still some time..ahhaha! anyway, it's good to dream & visualise..=)
